How to Do Business with Okaloosa Gas District

If you sell a commodity or  service, you may find a market with Okaloosa Gas District. The  Purchasing Division contracts for nearly $30 million in goods, services  and construction each year. Since the principal objective of the  Purchasing Division is the acquisition of quality goods and services at  the lowest cost, we are constantly seeking new sources of supply.

Registration is free through the e-procurement website.  It  is the vendor’s responsibility to check these e-procurement portals  often for changes and to ensure addendums are considered in your bids or  proposals. All commodities, services, or  construction projects estimated to cost more than $25,000.00 will be  subject to the formal process of Requests for Quote, sealed bids through  the Invitation to Bid process, or Requests for Proposals. For  engineering or architectural services a Request for Qualifications  process will be followed as defined by the State of Florida’s  Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act.  Procurements for items costing  less than $25,000.00 in value are handled through telephone or informal  written quotes. Upon contract award the District expects vendors to  provide a vendor registration form, a W-9 and certificates of insurance.  The vendor registration form and W-9 may be e-mailed to purchasing@okaloosagas.com or mailed to Okaloosa Gas District, Purchasing Division, P.O. Box 548,  Valparaiso, FL 32580.  Insurance certificates can be e-mailed to insurance@okaloosagas.com or mailed to the same P.O. Box as above marked to the attention of Risk Management.

Vendors Must Comply with All State and Local Business Requirements

All  vendors providing a service to Okaloosa Gas District must have a  current Local Business Tax Receipt (formerly known as an Occupational  License Tax) from the County in which services are rendered within our  service territory. All corporations and partnerships must have the  authority to transact business in the State of Florida and be in good  standing with the Florida Secretary of State.



Requests for Okaloosa Gas District to Complete a Credit Application

Okaloosa Gas District does not  complete credit applications. The financial strength of the District is  evidenced by its AA+ investment rating from Standard & Poor’s  Corporation and Fitch IBCA, Inc. and its Aa2 rating from Moody’s  Investor Services.  As an Independent Special District of Florida, the  District complies with generally accepted accounting principles as well  as the statutory financial reporting requirements of the state. The  financial reports which disclose this compliance and provide financial  information to support the financial stability of the District may be  requested from the Accounting & Finance Department.
